Final Fantasy 16 Stormcry Guide

Final Fantasy 16 has plenty of cool weapons to find and upgrade. Luckily, it doesn’t take long before you start getting some more impressive weaponry to go along with Clive’s wide skill set. One of these swords is the Stormcry, which is quick to get and easy to unlock. So let’s quickly go over how to get the Stormcry sword in Final Fantasy 16.

Final Fantasy 16: How to get Stormcry

Stormcry is available soon after you unlock the Garuda Eikon ability and fight the Wind Summon herself in Final Fantasy 16. It’s hard to miss any of this as it’s where the main story forces you to go, so just proceed through the story until you get there. Once the battles are over, you’ll get a material called a Wind Shard. And once you have this, you can make Stormcry. Luckily you won’t need a lot of money to make it, though having plenty of Gil does help elsewhere.

The storyline will soon take you back to The Hideaway. This is very convenient since we require the help of Blackthorne to make our new sword. So just head over to the Blacksmith once you’re there and open up his crafting menu. Here you’ll see that the Stormcry is an option right at the top of the menu. The Stormcry will very likely be the best weapon available at this point in Final Fantasy 16. It has an attack value of 135, which is five points higher than a +2 Bastard Sword. So, at this point in the game, it’s hard to go wrong with it.

You’re seemingly unable to upgrade the Stormcry in Final Fantasy 16. So don’t be surprised if another weapon quickly outclasses it in the near future. Either way, it’s the best sword for the moment. Plus it looks really cool and the coolest Final Fantasy weapons are normally the best at the end of the day. It’s no Buster Sword though, that’s for sure.
