Note: For more information about the game, check out our Octopath Traveler 2 guides and features hub.

How to start Building Bridges in Octopath Traveler 2

To begin Building Bridges you need to speak to a young boy found in the human village on Toto’haha. He can be found standing next to the well in the human village. Speaking to him will reveal that he wants to get closer to the neighboring Beastlings and find out more about them but he doesn’t know how.

To help him out you’ll need to head west to the Beasting Village. Once here, approach the Beastling Girl standing at the bottom of the village’s west ladder and acquire her Amulet of Affection. The amulet can be acquired by either stealing it with Throné or buying it from her for 300 Leaves with Paritio. If you don’t have one of these characters in your party, you cannot yet complete the Building Bridges side story in Octopath Traveler 2.

Heading back

With the Amulet of Affection in hand, you now need to head back east to the human village. Once there speak to the boy who gave you the quest and hand over the Amulet of Affection.

He’ll accept your offering and talk about how he once heard that beastlings give each other amulets as a sign of friendship. After completing this dialogue, you’ll have finished Building Bridges in Octopath Traveler 2 and will be rewarded a Critical Nut and a Resistant Nut. As an added bonus, if you now head west you’ll find the boy and the Beasting Girl hanging out and playing together.

Octopath Traveler 2 can be purchased on Steam.
